We are awarding scholarships soon!

Through the generosity of local donors who care deeply about the advanced education of local youth, the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation is honored and pleased to award two $5000 scholarships in April, 2017.

The Carol and Dick Janko Scholarship was created specifically for recent and upcoming high school graduates who are enrolled in an accredited university or college for the Fall, 2017 semester, and who can demonstrate recent studies or work related activities focused on entrepreneurship. The scholarship reflects Dick and Carol’s lifelong commitment to youth, education, economic development and philanthropy, and offers a significant financial opportunity to the recipient. Applications for this scholarship are available at all high schools in LaSalle, Livingston, Bureau and Putnam Counties, and here on our website .

The Rising Star Scholarship, is open to any high school senior, who is a resident of Marseilles or Seneca, and who has been accepted to Illinois State University, Department of Education, for the Fall, 2017 Semester.
