Congratulations to Flags of Freedom! The fundraising event “Rockin’ The Runway” held in Princeton on March 29 was a terrific success! We are very proud to partner with Flags of Freedom and be able to help support such a wonderful cause. Of course, more donations are always welcome, so if you wish to donate, go ahead and click the donate button at the top of this page!
One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of Quilts of Valor to several Veterans from Starved Rock Country. Terry Johnson, Director of the Illinois Valley Quilts of Valor organization led the emotional presentations. Congratulations to all the recipients, and especially to Keith Cain and Chuck Beckett, both Vietnam Vets, who serve on the Community Foundation Board of Directors.
